Scarborough Sea Life Centre invites visitors to share a ‘Merry Fishmas’ with a number of fishy festivities this Christmas holiday. In honour of festive film release “Happy Feet 2”, Sea Life’s penguins will be getting Christmassy with decorations around their enclosure. Kids can learn all about different types of penguin, their habits and their conservation status on the Sea Life ‘Happy Feet 2’ Christmas penguin quiz trail.

The real stars of the hit movie ‘Brassed Off’, the Grimethorpe Colliery Band are celebrating the 15th anniversary of this classic film. Having won almost every brass band accolade, these musicians have a highly acclaimed international reputation with numerous recordings to their credit. Enjoy the fabulous sound of this world famous brass band, performing hits from Brassed Off plus favourite classics in spectacular style!

Writer Charles Condomine and his wife Ruth invite the eccentric medium Madame Arcati to conduct a séance at their home. They’re hoping for an evening of entertainment, but an unexpected guest spoils the party: Charles’ first wife Elvira. Spirits run high as the two wives battle for Charles - who is wanted dead or alive!

Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd January - HAMMONDS SALTAIRE BRASS BAND @ STEPHEN JOSPEH THEATRE

There’s nothing quite so stirring as the big, rich sound of this magnificent brass band in our round auditorium. With its extensive repertoire, expert soloists and under the leadership of Morgan Griffiths, expect to be blown away. The band’s annual visit has become an SJT tradition.

Hammonds Saltaire Band has roots going back 150 years. In recent years it has contested throughout Europe, recorded numerous CDs and performed at some of the best concert venues in the world. As the Yorkshire Building Society Band they were European Champions 8 times and have won the British Open and All England Masters on several occasions. Sat 21st: 7:30pm, Sun 22nd: 3:00pm
