Scarbrough is one of only 2 sites in the North East hosting an event for National Whale & Dolphin Watch. On August 7th, between 10am and 4pm a team will be based on Marine Drive in Scarborough looking for any Cestaceans. Often seen from Marine Drive are a group of Harbour Porpoises but also possible are Bottlenose Dolphin, White-Beaked Dolphin & Minke Whale!

A great place to see the resident Harbour Porpoises is from the top of the Castle Headland (within the castle walls).

So bring along your binoculors and meet at the Castguard Station at 10am (Harbour side of Marine Drive). For more info contact Stuart Baines on 01723 351596.
