Discover Scarborough's amazing story stretching back thousands of years. From ancient fishing port to Britain's first seaside resort, the town is steeped in history and our 2 hours 15 minute guided walk around South Bay features breath-taking views and fascinating facts. Your guides are Paddy & Nicky from Visit Scarborough. The walk starts from outside the main entrance of The Grand Hotel on St. Nicholas Cliff and takes in some of Scarborough's most famous landmarks but also some of its best-kept secrets. You'll be fascinated by the stories as you learn about this wonderful place with your friendly, informative hosts.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please note that this walk includes some walking uphill. You will need to be of relatively good fitness. The distance is around 3 miles with regular stops. It is advisable to bring a drink and dress appropriately for the weather on the day. The walk will only be cancelled in extremely bad weather such as torrential rain, thunder etc. We will have some water and a small medical kit with us. There are several public toilets along the route but please note there is a 40p charge at these council-run toilets. Cards are accepted. We have public liability insurance for walking tours.
