FROM STATION TO SEAFRONT / For Scarborough Spa Express Passengers / 15th July 1pm - 2pm
Visit Scarborough's Paddy Billington offers a 1-hour GUIDED WALKING TOUR down to the seafront from Scarborough Railway Station EXCLUSIVELY for Scarborough Spa Express passengers arriving into the resort. With the steam train arriving at Platform 1 at 12:41pm, join us outside the main entrance, under the tree by the bus stops for a 1pm departure.
This is a short walk to the seafront, which gives you a fascinating history behind Scarborough, which this year is celebrating its 400th anniversary as Britain's 1st seaside resort. Learn about our incredible history attracting visitors and discover Scarborough's amazing wartime history, seeing holes in the side of buildings from the German warship bombardment in WW1 over 100 years later.
Finishing on the seafront, below The Grand Hotel, and next to the Central Tramway, having walked through The Crescent and a little of South Cliff Gardens, it's either flat, or downhill all the way.
And you will still have 2 and a half hours to get your Fish & Chips and explore more of Scarborough before you steam back home!
Visit Scarborough has public liability insurance for guided walking tours.
