ALFA HOLIDAYS are offering you the opportunity to enjoy a VERY festive weekend in Scarborough at the end of November. As well as trips to Whitby and York's Christmas Market, you will be delighted to know it's Scarborough Sparkle that weekend too!
Scarborough Sparkle is a magical and enchanting Christmas wonderland. This FREE Christmas festival at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre runs from Friday 27th November until Sunday 29th November. On Friday it's on until 9pm and on Saturday it runs until 8pm. On Sunday it closes at 4pm, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy everything on offer!
There’ll be the
annual lantern parade created by local community groups as well as stalls offering
crafts, gifts, hot food and drinks. If that isn’t enough there’ll be a
tipi bar, where you can listen to
music and
toast marshmallows and a stage hosted by
This is the Coast local radio station, featuring
local choirs and
competition giveaways. There’ll also be
fun fair rides,
music, a snow machine, Christmas tree, Santa sleigh and meet our mischievous
green Christmas guest and

Day 1 - Outward Travel - Winter Weekend
- Travel to The Cumberland Hotel and enjoy a fun-filled festive getaway! Your Winter Weekend Break includes 3 nights dinner, bed and breakfast, a festive drink on arrival, and fantastic evening entertainment. To round off your stay, an optional fancy dress party will take place on the final night.
Day 2 - Excursion to York Christmas Market
- One of the most popular Christmas Markets in the UK, attracting thousands of visitors from all over the country, York is a city that comes to life at this time of year. The ancient streets are filled with pretty stalls selling festive decorations, wonderful gifts and locally produced food and drink.Excursion days may vary to coincide with Christmas Markets and will be confirmed by driver on tour.
Day 3 - Excursion to Whitby
- Enjoy a trip along the beautiful Yorkshire Coast to reach wonderful Whitby. Set aside the Esk Estuary and where the North York Moors meet the sea, Whitby oozes charm and character. Step back in time in the Old Town, perhaps climb the 199 steps to the abbey or why not enjoy some of the best fish and chips in the world at the Magpie Café?
