Dolphin Sightings Daily In Scarborough This Week!
Visitors to Scarborough this week have been enjoying an extra special sight this week: DOLPHINS! Around 7-8 Bottlenose Dolphins have been touring the coastline around Scarborough for the last 5 days but sightings for 2021 appear to be at an all-time high.
A few years ago we'd be lucky to get three or four sightings a year but that's been rapidly increasing year after year and there has been about 20-plus separate sightings of them in June alone, including every day this week.
The playful creatures have come very close to shore, heading deep into North Bay and yards from Scarborough Lighthouse. They were spotted escorting Scarborough Lifeboat back into port after a training exercise last night.
