Easter Holidays 2026 - What's On In Scarborough?

Scarborough is set for a vibrant 2026 Easter season, with festivities running roughly from 28 March to 19 April. Whether you are visiting for the bank holiday weekend (3–6 April) or the full school break, the town is packed with heritage trails, food festivals, and live entertainment.
 

Family-Friendly Adventures

Easter Quest at Scarborough Castle: From 28 March to 19 April, kids can join a themed adventure quest among the medieval ruins. For £2 (plus standard admission), participants can hunt for eggs and solve clues to earn a chocolate prize.

The Easter Eggspress: The North Bay Railway transforms into a festive train ride between 28 March and 12 April. It includes an Easter trail on the train, face painting, and a meeting with the Easter Bunny.

Spring Daze at Peasholm Park: A free family fun day on 1 April featuring nature activities, music, and stalls in one of Scarborough's most iconic parks.

Giant Deckchair Trail: Part of the "Scarborough 400" celebrations, you can find oversized, artist-designed deckchairs hidden throughout the town for the perfect holiday selfie.

Imagination Station Easter Special: A dedicated event for younger children on Friday, 3 April at Imagination Station, featuring crafts, songs, and a meeting with the Easter Bunny (£13.95 per ticket). 

Scarborough Fair Collection Reopening: This vintage transport and funfair museum officially reopens for the season on 1 April at the Flower of May Holiday Park. You can ride vintage fairground attractions and see mechanical organs from Wednesday to Saturday.

Scarborough Punk Festival: A loud start to the holidays on 28–29 March with 16 bands in the Grand Hall.

Magic Mike’s Easter Special: A family-favourite magic show on 30 March.

VFM Scarborough Scooter Rally: Bringing two nights of entertainment to the Spa from 3–5 April.

K-Pop All Stars Tribute: A high-energy dance and music show on 9 April.

Bongo’s Bingo: An immersive, high-energy party night on 10 April.

Aljaž & Janette – Let’s Face the Music and Dance: The Strictly stars bring their new show to Scarborough Spa's Grand Hall on 16 April, performing to the music of legends like Cole Porter and Hans Zimmer. 

Stephen Joseph Theatre

Murder For Two: From 28 March to 18 April, the Stephen Joseph Theatre hosts this high-energy musical whodunit where two actors play 13 characters—and the piano—in a hilarious "manslaughter" mystery.

The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists: A unique one-person version of the classic novel featuring live music, song, and "political conjuring tricks" at the Stephen Joseph Theatre on 16 April.

Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines: A satirical theatrical production at the Stephen Joseph Theatre starting 17 April.

Easter Skandals at The Albert: For those looking for nightlife, this lively Ska and Ska Punk performance takes place at The Albert pub on North Marine Road on Saturday, 4 April.

Bank Holiday Party Night: Head to The Mayfield Seamer on Sunday, 5 April for a 70s, 80s, and 90s party night featuring live music by Eddie Scott.

Food & Seasonal Experiences
Scarborough Food and Drink Festival: Taking over the Open Air Theatre on 11–12 April, this festival features over 60 international food stalls, local spirits, and fairground rides. Entry is free.

Lambing Experiences: Nearby farms like Humble Bee Farm and Playdale Farm offer lamb-watching and bottle-feeding sessions throughout the spring—perfect for animal lovers.

Sunday Market: Visit the historic Scarborough Market Hall & Vaults on Sundays (9:00 am – 3:00 pm) for local crafts and artisan treats.
