FREE Extra Park & Ride Service For Armed Forces Day On 25th June
With a rail strike planned, it's certainly going to be busier on the roads on Saturday 25th June for the Armed Forces Day National Event in Scarborough. And good news for those driving to the resort for the event, there will be a FREE extra Park & Ride site in the town catering for up to 2,000 vehicles. The site is at playing fields between St Leonard’s Crescent and the old Scarborough to Whitby railway line, off Barrowcliff Road (Postcode for sat navs – YO12 6SR).
Buses will run from Maple Drive every 15 minutes from 9am until 7.45pm with return buses leaving from Royal Albert Drive every 15 minutes from 9.20am until 8pm.
The Seamer Road (A64) and Filey Road (A165) sites, run by North Yorkshire County Council will be operating as usual.
Some car parks in Scarborough will be closed for the event so drivers are advised to use the Park & Ride sites.
