North Bay Railway Turns 90 This Weekend!

Scarborough's historic North Bay Railway turns 90 this weekend. On Sunday 23rd May it'll be exactly 90 years since the first train ran along the 20 inch gauge railway from Peasholm towards Scalby Mills.
These days there are many more attractions on the site including the original water chute, pedalos, tiny pub and more recent addition: Sky Trail.
Although the attraction is open, staff can't celebrate quite as they'd like to, but will be marking the 90th anniversary with a special train at 2:00pm. They hope to make a much bigger thing of the milestone at their Gala in September.
Congratulations to all at North Bay Railway, one of the UK's oldest miniature railways and certainly one of Scarborough's most-loved attractions.
