The Yorkshire Coast has been named the most popular holiday destination for UK holidays in 2022, beating other holiday hotspots such as Cornwall and the Lake District.
Scarborough comes 2nd after neighbouring Whitby as the top trending UK destination that Brits are looking at for holidays this year.
The research by Sykes Holiday Cottages saw Scarborough come second thanks to its family-friendly attractions and hotels, while the town of Filey also made the cut at number 9.
