Dog beach ban starts this weekend in parts of North and South Bay...

From this Saturday 1st May 2021 and until the end of September, dogs will be banned in the busiest parts of South Bay Beach and North Bay Beach in Scarborough. In South Bay the area is from the Lifeboat Station to Spa Bridge and in North Bay its from the Chalet Cafe to the Sands Complex. The areas are clearly marked with signs. At high tide, this means there is little beach for dogs to use, but at low tide there is plenty of room. The above map shows the areas where the beach ban is in force. The dog ban is an annual ban but was delayed in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
